Depression Treatment, Healing Childhood Wounds, Trauma Recovery & more
I view therapy as a partnership between the client and therapist. This means I work alongside each client with the goal of helping each person heal emotional wounds, reduce mental health symptoms, create healthier relationships, and live a more satisfying life. I provide empathy, compassion, respect, and support so that my clients will feel safe to share what is bothering them. In that safe space, we work together to identify primary issues and develop a plan for resolving or managing those issues. I encourage each person I work with to use his or her own personal strengths and intuition along the way. In this context, I provide knowledge and practical tools clients need to create the changes that allow them feel better and reach their full potential.
My approach to therapy is integrative, which means I use more than one psychological theory or treatment approach with clients. I tailor the treatment provided to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. I primarily use evidence-based treatment approaches, which are approaches that are considered to be most effective, based on current research. One treatment approach I often use is Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
As your therapist, I am committed to helping you work through the issues and symptoms that are bothering you, so you can grow and change and live your best life. I will provide you with empathy, support, some new knowledge, and some new skills. Together we will work to overcome any obstacles to your recovery so you can resolve your issues, reduce or eliminate your symptoms, and live the life that you desire.
